MassSTAR Update- Staff Intros and Parent's Luncheon Information
Hello Delegates and Parents, Happy Friday!
We are getting closer to the big weekend and we cannot wait! The Massachusetts Youth Leadership Foundation is 100% staffed by volunteers who take time out of their lives to plan and execute the MassSTAR Conference. It's amazing how this conference comes together flawlessly in between classes, work meetings, and catching flights for business trips. I can confidently speak for everyone when I say that this is the best weekend of the year for all of us! It's like pressing a reset button on our brains. We emerge from the weekend completely inspired, motivated and totally re-energized to effectively accomplish our responsibilities in our work, college, and community service lives. Parents, thank you for letting your children participate; it means the world to us that we can share this positive and empowering experience with them.
Below is some important information for you to read before the Conference. This includes an invitation to parents for the Sunday luncheon, a video that introduces you to some of our volunteer staff, and action items for this week. Soon, you will be hearing from the Senior facilitator who will be leading your group for the weekend, they will be touching base to make sure you are squared away and answer any questions you have.
Keep in mind, the DELEGATES section of the website is a great resource for any questions you have, but feel free to be in touch if you need help with anything. Here are two links that will come in very handy:Warm regards,
Rachel and the entire conference staff

Getting To Know Us
Our volunteer staff spent a day training in preparation for the conference. We take our leadership roles very seriously, but we also like to have some fun! Here is a short video with a sneak peek into the day and some introductions of our outstanding staff! We'll have more intro's next week!

Parents, We Cordially Invite You to The Parents Luncheon
RSVP Here
On Sunday, June 5, we invite our delegates’ families, supporters and friends to join us at Lasell College for the Family Reception and Closing Ceremonies.
At 11:30am, we invite you to join us for a luncheon. You will have the opportunity to meet other families from your region, and members of the Massachusetts Youth Leadership Foundation will be on hand to tell you more about the Conference and about our activities throughout the year. This is a great informal opportunity to ask questions about our organization and meet other alumni.
After the luncheon, we invite you to join us for an informational session about the Foundation and the Conference. Learn more about the Massachusetts Youth Leadership Foundation, and hear about the speakers, workshops, and panelists that comprise the MassSTAR Citizenship Conference. We will share information about our Empowered Citizenship Grants opportunities, explain our alumni activities and service commitments, and explain the many ways that the delegates can stay engaged following the Conference. We’ll also share ways that the whole family can volunteer!
Finally, at 2:30 pm, we invite you to partake in our Closing Ceremonies. Our speakers this year include Diane McCurley, Director of Junior Membership for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts and the delegates themselves, who will have the opportunity to speak about their Conference experiences.
The weekend will conclude at 4:30 pm, at which time delegates will say their final goodbyes, pick up their belongings, and depart for home.
