Sasha GonyeSasha attended the MassSTAR conference in 2013 representing Falmouth High School, and then graduated in 2018 from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Game Design and Development. She currently works at Grubhub as an Operations Engineer and is an advocate for LGBTQIA+ equality at her company as a member of the leadership of GrubPride, an employee resource group.
Throughout the years Sasha has volunteered at MassSTAR. First, as a junior facilitator and ops member, and most recently as a senior facilitator. Through the program, she has learned and refined her speaking skills and boosted her confidence, but truly what was most impactful to her as a delegate was learning and seeing these skills demonstrated by a visibly queer role model. She hopes to pay that forward by serving on the board and continued active participation in the organization. In her free time, she loves organizing trips with her friends to either play board games, play dress up (cosplay), and explore new locations in spots old and new! |
