Question: Why do/did you volunteer with MYL/MassSTAR?
Tsitsi's Response: The MYL Foundation has truly shaped me to be the person I am today. I am beyond grateful for the mentors who took me under their wing back when I was a high schooler fresh out of the MassSTAR Conference and treated me as a peer- although they had far more years of knowledge and experience. It was there willingness to welcome me in with open arms while simultaneously pushing me to be the best person (and citizen) I can be that has kept me coming back for years, and I only hope to be able to do the same for countless other alumni in the years to come.
Question: Are you still in touch with people from the conference? How do you stay in touch?
Tsitsi's Response: I am still in touch with several people from the conference who I am lucky to call my friends- both via the MYL Foundation and it's many initiatives/events and beyond. One of my most favorite parts about staying involved with the organization has been able to grow those friendships and learn from each other as we tackle new parts of our lives both personally and professionally. Living far away from home can be difficult but I am so grateful for my west coast MYL Family, many of who I have been able to spend time with in person over here in California!
Question: What is your favorite MassSTAR cheer?
Tsitsi's Response: MassSTAR Beat!
Question: What is a fun fact about yourself or something on your bucket list?
Tsitsi's Response: My family is very big- I have 42 first cousins!
