Question: What was your MYL alumni year? (If you did not attend the conference, the year that you first volunteered!)  

Brian's Response: 2014

Question: What high school did you go to? 

Brian's Response: Revere High School

Question: If you went to/are currently attending college, where did/do you go and what did you major in?

Brian's Response: Emerson College (Writing, Lit, and Publishing); Lesley University (M.Ed Arts, Community, and Education)

Question: If you are currently employed, what is your job? 

Brian's Response: Senior Student Success Advisor, The New School

Question: Why do/did you volunteer with MYL/MassSTAR?

Brian's Response: I believe so strongly in this generation of young people as leaders, and citizens of the world. I believe in their passion, their creativity, their intelligence, and curiosity - and the work MYL does to empower young people to become the best versions of themselves and lead the charge for change and growth in their communities inspires me every. single. time!!!

Question: What makes the Foundation unique?

Brian's Response: Our programs focus on what it means to be a "good citizen" and all that comes with that - bringing an incredibly community-minded point of view to our work that inspires us all to think not just about improving ourselves, but making the world around us a better place.

Question: Are you still in touch with people from the conference? How do you stay in touch?

Brian's Response: t is a joy to stay in touch with my MYL community - mostly digitally as I'm out of Massachusetts these days but we follow each other on social media and stay in touch as best we can!

Question: How would you describe the conference to somebody who hasn't/won't be able to experience it?

Brian's Response: An absolute whirlwind

Question: What is your favorite activity from the MassSTAR Conference?

Brian's Response: Particularly fond of our tangible activities; the MassSTAR Shark Tank, the Runway, and our T.R.Y Scenarios come to mind.

Question: What is your favorite MassSTAR cheer? 

Brian's Response: The only right answer is the MassSTAR Beat.
