Question: What makes the Foundation unique?
Miriam's Response: The Foundation is unique because no one is in it for themselves. From the president to the conference staff everyone is a volunteer focused on delivering the best possible experience for the delegates. Its the people you meet and learn from that truly make the Foundation unlike any other organization .
Question: What is your favorite activity from the MassSTAR Conference?
Miriam's Response: Oh its a classic: Operation egg Drop. The activity encourages delegates to create something, develop and elevator pitch, cheer for themselves and one another all wrapped up with a little spirited competition. There's no stakes besides breaking an egg but its hard to not get really into it. Everyone including delegates, staff and the always fun judges panel fully commit to the spirit of the activity. I've always been a fan of the egg drop because it encourages creativity, team work and my favorite point of the star intentionality. After several speakers and workshops pushing the delegates to really think they jump into something fun but with purpose.
Question: What is your favorite MassSTAR cheer?
Miriam's Response: The MassSTAR beat no competition. Cayla one our amazing Directors of Alumni Relations has taught me the dance multiple times. Still can't get it but love to try.
