Makenna LamontMakenna Lamont (she/her) began her involvement with the MYL Foundation when she represented North Reading High School at the 2018 MassSTAR Citizenship Conference. After high school, she attended Fairfield University studying Sociology, Psychology, and Peace and Justice Studies. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2024 and began working for the Department of Justice soon after. She is currently a tactical analyst working to defend the homeland from foreign threats.
Makenna served as a Junior Facilitator at the 2019 and 2022 conferences, as well as for the virtual 2021 conference. She took on a new position on the Board of Directors as the Merchandise Coordinator at the beginning of 2023. Makenna has worked to give back to an organization that has given so much to her; designing and selling merchandise is one way she accomplishes that! Makenna has continued to volunteer with the MYL Foundation and serve on the Board of Directors for the lifelong friendships she has made, and to inspire young people to make a positive difference in the world. She has a passion for shaping young minds into great leaders and hopes to have an impact on the lives of the delegates. She is excited to work with the board members, and to return to the conference to hear the experiences and ideas of the delegates! |
