Meg Kenney serves as the Director of Volunteer Development, combining her background in event planning and volunteer management with her enthusiasm for MYL Foundation. Meg was a Senior Facilitator at the 2010 and 2011 MassSTAR Conferences, and then served as the Director of Staff from 2012-2013.
Currently, Meg serves as the Assistant Dean of New Student Programming at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she coordinates first year orientation and programming, as well as works with first year advising. Meg has also worked in student activities and leadership development at Suffolk University and MCPHS University, both in Boston. Additionally, Meg has served in a number of volunteer roles for various professional associations in higher education, including the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) and NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education). She currently volunteers for the NASPA Region I Conference Committee. Meg holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and religious studies from the College of the Holy Cross (Class of 2006), and a master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in college student development from Central Connecticut State University (Class of 2008). She plans to pursue a doctorate of education in the upcoming year as well. Meg is an avid Patriots fan, and a semi-avid runner. She’ll be running her first Boston Marathon in 2015, which is excited and terrifying. She loves a good red velvet cupcake. |
